Auli and Chopta are the two main tourist places of Uttarakhand. It is the coldest place in both Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts, which have an altitude of about 9,544 and 8,556 feet above sea level.
Chopta has Asia’s highest altitude Lord Shiva “Tungnath” temple, which is the natural abode of Lord Shiva during the spring, summer, rain and autumn seasons. There is also a second temple at the highest point, which is of Mother Chandrashila, which is at 12,110 feet height above sea level.
Auli is a Bugyali place in Joshimath region, it is a very famous tourist place. Here you can also see all the mountain ranges and Auli Bugyal from the ropeway and chair lift ride. Skiing is also done here and in the years skiing competition is also held here.

Located near Joshimath hill place of Chamoli district in the Garhwal region of the state of Uttarakhand (formerly the northwestern section of Himalaya), near by tourist spot or trek destination:
- Gorson bugyal (meadow) 3 km trek at an altitude of 11,500 ft.
- Vishnuprayag is a holy confluence of Alaknanda and Dhauliganga river in Uttarakhand near Joshimath at distance of 12 km drive.
- Jyotirmath is the is a northern Hindu monastery, one of the four temples (Matth) established by Adi Shankara, the others at Shringeri, Puri and Dwarka.
- Badrinath (Hindi: बद्रीनाथ) at an altitude of 10,800 ft.
- Badrinath is also one of the four destinations (with each destination being in different corners of the country) of the longer Char Dham from which the Chota Char Dham likely draws its name.
Journey Route
- Day 1st & 2nd drive (245 km): Dehradun / Rishikesh – Devprayag – Rudraprayag – Chopta
- Day 3rd & 4th drive (106 km): Chopta – Gopeshwar – Joshimath – Auli
- Day 5th drive (296 km): Auli – Joshimath – Dehradun / Rishikesh
Itinerary
Day 1:- Dehradun / Rishikesh To Chopta valley (245 km / 7 hrs. approx.)
Today on arrival at Chopta, our representative will show you your camps and give you water to drink in your camps. Get refreshed and the have a cup of tea with beauty view of Himalayas. Later we will do dinner in Camp kitchen then take rest in our camps. Tomorrow we will go for Tungnath Temple darshan.

Night stay at Chopta Camps or Home stay or Guest House.
Day 2:- Chopta To Tungnath Temple To Campsite (4 km trek)
Today we will wake up before 8 a.m. and will get ready for Tungnath Temple Darshan. It’s a trek, and at 4 km walking distance, which is at 12,500 ft. above sea level. You can see the open view from here in your surroundings (Auli and Chopta Tour & Trek). It’s a very peaceful place and gives full view of Chowkhamba Peak. Here is a top place name Chandrashila Temple which is at 500 m ahead from Tungnath Temple at height 13,000 ft. We will enjoy full day there and have to reach Chopta before 3 p.m., and then we will go back to campsite. Have dinner & stay in camp.

Night stay in Chopta Camps or Home stay or Guest House.
Day 3:- Chopta To Auli (106 km drive / 4 hrs. approx.)
Today we will wake normally around 9 a.m. and we will do breakfast 10 a.m. Then we will take some rest in camp, and then move to Auli from Chopta. On the way, we will see Chopta main forest area, Mandal village, Saggar village, Gopeshwar Town and then we will reach Chamoli district. After reaching Auli in evening, we will go to our hotel rooms & get refreshed. Have a cup of tea & after that you can roam around the Hotel area. Later at night we will eat dinner & sleep.

Breakfast at Chopta.
Drive to Auli.
Dinner.
Night stay in Hotel.
Day 4:- Auli exploring day (145 km drive / 5 hrs. approx.)
Today after breakfast we will to Auli bugyal by Chair lift and enjoy there full day. You can do skiing there in winter time or can also go to Gorson bugyal via Auli bugyal which is at 3 km walking distance. During the trek you would have wonderful views of the big Himalayan giants, including Nanda Devi (India’s second highest peak). In evening sit back and relax at the hotel room. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5:- Auli To Dehradun / Rishikesh (296 km drive / 8 hrs. approx.)
Today we will drive back to Dehradun / Rishikesh after breakfast & check out from the hotel room with all luggage. We will go back to our homes with sweet memories of Chopta & Auli holiday tour.

Auli Chopta Tour Seasons
The ideal time or peak season to go for a Auli Chopta tour is from January to December, except monsoons. This is because during the monsoon season, there is undue threat of having landslides, which can further disrupt the journey.

- Cancellation charges of 50% for cancellation if a confirmed reservation is cancelled between 30 to 15 days from the date of arrival.
- Cancellation charges of 75% for cancellation if a confirmed reservation is cancelled between 15 to 7 days from the date of arrival.
- Cancellation charges of 100% for cancellation if a confirmed reservation is cancelled within a week to the date of arrival.
- If booking is cancelled 30 days before then per person communication service charges applicable per person 1000/- INR. Followed by cancellation policy
- No shows and early departures- 100% of the entire day.

- Any extra bed/breakfast for kids which is not mentioned has to be paid directly by guests as per the hotel policy.
