Bhaasar lake is an exciting place surrounded by nature. This place is Meadow field with Bhasar Tal among it. Bhasar Tal at the foothills of the Himalayas in Sukhtaal village, 2.5 kilometers above the market of Hulanakhal Gaon, is still out of sight of tourists. The cold air and sunshine falling in the rhythm has made its beauty even greater. Its height is at least 7,500 feet above sea level. A little over 1 kilometer from here, there is another Lake known as Ray Lake.

About location:

      Located in the Tehri district of Uttarakhand, Bhaasar Lake is a peaceful place for families and a short trek. It is the best place for a view of Kedar Himalayan ranges, including the Chaukhamba Mountains.

History & recent tale:

      Sukhtaal villagers have been taking their buffaloes to Bhaasar Lake for grazing and bathing for many years. A small temple built in the middle of the pool has also been a place of faith for them since time immemorial. It has also been a playground for the children of the village.

      Bhaasar lake has been away from the eyes of all travelers for a long time. Only residents of nearby towns come here occasionally to visit, because the place itself is beautiful and exciting.

      Now Bhaasar lake is fully opened to all travelers, it is just 2 kilometers by road, which is situated at an altitude of 7,500 feet above sea level. You can come here in any season. You will feel peace and calm in all the seasons.

Day 1: Dehradun / Rishikesh To Tonkhand village (Home Stay)

• Altitude: 5,000 feet.
• 155 km drive – approx. 06 hours
• During today’s journey, you will be able to see a very beautiful and amazing view of Rishikesh from Narendra Nagar where there is Ananda Mahal and also can see the view of Tehri lake and dam which is highest dam in India and one of the highest in the world.

Day 2: Tonkhand village To Bhaasar Lake To Ghansali town

• Breakfast
• Altitude: 5,000 feet to 7,500 feet.
• 30 km drive, 2 km trek, approx. 1 hours.
• Today we will take a 30 km road trip from booked Bolero from Tonkhand village to Hulanakhal village, then we will start our trek to Bhaasar Lake.
• The trail passes through dense pine forests and some meadow area surrounded by Jungle area then finally opens out to beautiful meadow.
• Packed lunch & dinner
• Stay in 12 Maas homestay.

Day 3: Ghansali To Dehradun / Rishikesh

• Breakfast
• Drive to Dehradun or Rishikesh
• Altitude: 5,000 feet to 3,202 feet.
• 185 km drive – approx. 05 hours.

Day 1:- Dehradun / Rishikesh – Tonkhand Village (155 km / approx. 5 hrs.)

Today we will begin the journey to Tonkhand village, and in the meantime you can also do boating in Tehri Dam, which is the tallest dam in India and one of the tallest in the world. It is a multi-purpose rock and earth-fill embankment dam on the Bhagirathi River. On arrival our representative takes to the Thapliyal’s Homestay (12 मास). You will reach there in 5-6 hrs. & then you can see get refreshed & take some rest. Have dinner and enjoy the Homestay night which is gripped with forests all around.

Day 2:- Thapliyal’s Homestay (12 मास) – Hulanakhal Village – Bhaasar Lake (Taal)  (30 km drive / 2 km trek)

Wake up early and get refresh, later have your breakfast and let’s go for the drive to Hulanakhal Market. Then we will do trek of 2 km to reach Bhaasar Lake. Once at the Top, you get a view of the mountains of Garhwal. See some great mountains of Uttarakhand, like Nanda Devi, Dunagiri, Chaukhamba, Kedar dome and more. Later we get back to Ghansali town. Dinner & overnight stay at 12 Maas homestay.

Day 3:- Ghansali Town – Dehradun / Rishikesh (145 km / 5 hrs. approx)

Good morning to Last day of Trip!! Have Breakfast and move to:

Travel back to Dehradun / Rishikesh with happy memories of  Tonkhand Village & Bhaasar Lake tour & trek.

• Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
• Pay heed to the trek leader or instructor in order to enjoy a safe and sound trekking experience.
• Do not consume alcohol or any other intoxicants during the trek.
• Avoid trekking during the nights.
• Before undertaking the trek, consult a physician.
• Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the trek.
• The trek takes place through Eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites.

Confirmation Policy:

• The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours of successful booking.
• In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email.
• Alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel their booking and a full refund will be processed.

Cancellation Policy:

• The amount received is Non Refundable.
• If reservation is cancelled minimum 15 days prior to Arrival we will give 3 months time to utilize the booking.
• Any cancellation /amendments done less than 15 days prior to arrival, then the total cost of the total number of rooms booked for the total number of nights will be charged as cancellation charges & no refund or credit note will be given.
• In case of a NO–SHOW the entire amount will be charged as retention.
